handicap work at home

One angle I have found useful for finding a good bet at the horse track is the class drop off a big pace figure. Handicapping claiming races is challenging because a lot of the horses have raced so long they have recurring injuries and don’t hold their form well. They are often so closely matched that it is just a matter of whose turn it is to win today and the odds and money are spread around so it is hard to find value.
One kind of claiming race that offers a decent possibility to find some formful horses, however, is the claiming conditional races for younger horses. I am talking about the non-winner races such as, NW-1, NW-2, and NW-3. The horses in these races are often lightly raced and are in claimers because they aren’t stakes material. There have been some exceptions to that, but it is usually the case.
After graduating from the maiden ranks, horses either go into allowance races and stakes and handicaps, or into the conditional claiming races. Working through their conditions, as it is called, gives them a chance to earn some money and gain experienced against horses that are pretty much in their class. It also gives a smart trainer a chance to race a horse into shape and to pick up a purse check with a smart move.
The smart move I have seen a few trainers make involves racing a horse in out of its conditions, for instance, a horse qualifies for NW-1, but the trainer enters it in NW-2. A variation is that the trainer enters a horse in a NW-1 for a $20,000 claiming price and then drops it down to NW-1 $10,000 claiming tag. In either case, if you see a horse with a huge pace figure who finished out of the money, but is dropping in for a lower price, it often is a good bet.
Naturally, you don’t want to see it bet down too heavily or this is no value. You still have to compare the runner who is dropping to the other horses as, too. But don’t be put off too much by the horse finishing out of the money, because that huge early pace figure usually means that all the horse’s energy was expended early. If it drops in class with a good jockey in the irons you can bet that they will usually rate the horse much better.
I look for a horse who is dropping in class and racing within his or her conditions. I want to see an early pace figure that is much higher than any other horse in the current race and I also like to see that the horse has won at the distance of today’s race and on the surface of today’s race. There are no guarantees in horse racing and these don’t always win, but you can often find good value on them and if you’re lucky, cash a ticket, too.
The most consistent horse racing systems have to have the basics and a handicapper must understand the basics. I have been around horse racing for 50 years including as an owner. Without the basics the rest is not going to do any good. If you want to learn how a horse owner and insider handicaps just go to http://williewins.homestead.com and get the truth.

work at home jobs in new jersey

Every day thousands of people show up for a job they hate. Is it because the work is knuckle-scrapingly hard? No. Is it because the job is mind numbingly boring? No. It is because every day someone at that place of work makes life miserable for that employee. It makes suffering through until days’ end almost unbearable. It rears its ugly head as discrimination, be it sexual, racial, ageism or religious. It’s a boss who sexually harasses an employee or someone who chronically tells lewd, unwelcome jokes in the workplace. It’s a fellow employee in the next cubicle who gossips, bullies, sabotages or belittles the accomplishments of his neighbor and the boss who allows such behavior.
What these people are experiencing is a Hostile Work Environment and the U.S. Government passed laws like Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, Age Discrimination in Employment Act of1967, and The Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990 to prevent such things.
In America, we have the inalienable right to the pursuit of happiness. We have the right to work a job without being made to suffer to do it. While women have long found themselves the focus of unwanted or unwelcome attention such as this in the workplace, they are not alone suffering this kind of humiliation in Hostile Work Environments. But with the sexual revolution of the 60′s and 70′s, as more women found their way into the workplace, they were the first to bring the problem of Sexual Harassment and Hostile Work Environment to the attention of the courts. With the awareness in the last two decades of the ramifications of bullying and incidents that inspired phrases like ‘going postal’, it would seem that this kind of situation should be lessening in the workplace. But every day, it goes on. Every day, employees reach their limits. They are desperate to keep their jobs in a worsening economy and are forced to swallow their anger.
So what constitutes a Hostile Work Environment? The phrase covers a rather narrow term of definition, legally. Yet it defines a workplace situation where an employee cannot reasonably do his or her job because of rude or hostile or sexual behavior in the workplace specifically directed at a particular protected class of employee. Harassment can come either from a boss, supervisor or from another employee, or by the management’s failure to deal with such situations.
In other words, a boss who is generally hostile and rude to everyone may not constitute a Hostile Work Environment, but a boss who targets a specific person who belongs to one of these protected classes may, in fact, constitute a Hostile Work Environment. A boss who uses rudeness or hostility, or discrimination to force an employee to quit his or her job so that the company is not forced to pay unemployment insurance to that employee may constitute a Hostile Work Environment. A Hostile Work Environment Attorney can bring a lawsuit against management that either refuses or fails to take action against such behavior after the harassed employee goes to management for help. However, the victim’s behavior will also be taken into consideration in a lawsuit. If a victim responds with hostility of his or her own, that can nullify any lawsuit. And the harassment must be ongoing and severe.
Hostile Work Environment Attorneys say that the perpetrators in Hostile Work Environment cases count on intimidation and the desperation of these employees to keep their jobs to forestall any legal action. Some, unbelievably, cannot even conceive of this as harassment. Some 35% of all women surveyed in a 2007 study claim they have been subjected to harassment of some kind in the workplace. It’s estimated that only 5%-15% of all Hostile Work Environment cases are ever even reported. This might be partly due to the fact that management is already aware of the problems in the ranks and have chosen not to act. Whistle blowers are often the target of management’s wrath and the ostracization of that employee by others. So it seems like a vicious Catch 22.
Kenneth Wygand, a Los Angeles accountant, found himself the unwelcome target of Harassment by a boss who learned of Kenneth’s homosexuality. Kenneth became the brunt of office jokes and was intentionally left out of meetings. When he complained to a partner in the firm, he was assured that something would be done, but nothing was, and afterward, was characterized as ‘difficult.’ His supervisor continued to harangue Kenneth, pushing him to quit, rallying the other employees to ostracize him as well for fear of losing their own jobs. He was given terrible reviews and missed out on salary increases. But the boss simply defended his actions, saying that Kenneth was not performing up to standards. Out of desperation, Kenneth consulted a Hostile Work Environment Attorney and sued his former employer, and won a sizable case.
The fear of losing ones job is a powerful force. So many remain silent in the face of this destructive and debilitating behavior. But if the situation warrants, an experienced Hostile Work Environment Attorney can be your advocate where there is none in the workplace. If you feel you are a victim of a Hostile Work Environment, contact a Hostile Work Environment Attorney who specializes in workplace harassment issues who will help you get the compensation you deserve.

all legitimate moms work at home opportunity

Well, if you work at home, you are going to have to “sell” something, but it’s not necessarily that you have to sell products. Instead, you can sell your skills, your services, or yourself. So yes, that requires “selling,” but not in such a blatant fashion.
What are some of the jobs you might be able to do it at home that don’t focus entirely on selling?
Designing websites
If you have some skill at website design, you might be surprised to know that this is a skill that’s greatly in demand. Yes, you can work at home and design other people’s websites. If you have even a little bit of skill at this, or if it’s something you know you have a talent for that you want to develop, you can create very nice websites for clients that’ll make you a decent living, too.
Writing
If you have a passion for the written word, this can be a work at home job that can make you a very good living indeed. You can write articles and market them to potential customers or clients, or you can write specifically for clients who contract you to write for them. You can write e-books to sell, you can write for sites that do revenue sharing, or any number of opportunities out there on the Internet.
Doing daycare from home
If you’re a mom, you can open a daycare center in your home so that you can take care of your children yet still provide a nice income for your family. And it has the added benefit of providing playmates for your children and giving you a nice paycheck besides.
Inbound calling services
If you work from home, you can do something called “inbound calling.” With this, you take orders from those who have purchased things from businesses, online shopping networks, infomercials, and so on. Sometimes this type of job also includes some basic customer service.
Bookkeeping services
If you’ve worked as a bookkeeper before, this is a skill you can definitely use when you work at home. Many local businesses or even online businesses need bookkeepers to help them keep track of their finances because they don’t have the time or talent to do it themselves. This is ideal if you are good with numbers and are a stay-at-home mom but want to make a nice income nonetheless.
Tutoring
If you’ve ever been a teacher, you might just be surprised to know that an online tutor is one way you can use your previous skills. With this type of work, you tutor students who are having problems with a subject area that you are an expert in. You may be able to do this exclusively online, or you might see students in your home or travel to their homes.
Is this really “selling”?
Yes, it is, in the sense that it requires a certain level of “selling” yourself and your skills. You have to make yourself known to clients and you have to make your services desirable to them. If you’re so uncomfortable with the concept of selling anything (even yourself or your services) that you think you simply can’t, then work at home positions might not work out for you unless you are a work at home employee for a specific employer in a telecommuting type of situation.
If you want to work at home and have your own business, though, you’re going to have to learn to “sell” yourself. This is an integral part of a having any type of work at home business. You have to make yourself known to clients and you have to make your skills appealing to them. That is simply part of what you have to do.
With that said, though, it’s still not the same thing to market yourself and your services as it is to sell something like skincare products, make up, and so on. In other words, there are many options to the “direct selling” that these types of businesses require you to do; there are many other things that you can do at home that simply require the “sale” of yourself and the services you provide.
